I'm not successful enough to write an article on this topic. Here I'm sharing my experience as a professional level student of ACCA. I started my ACCA journey at 31st December 2010. After one and a half year, I completed Foundation in Accountancy Qualification (FIA) with one shot. And then my life changed to dark. I still remember those days, when I was frustrated, failure, and doubtful about future. It was almost three years, from which I was ill for one and a half year and other material events occurred in another year. In the darkness of that valley, I’ve cried out to Allah: “What am I doing here! I can’t do this anymore. I hate every last step of this!” The echoes of those moments haunt me.
In 2015, I was planning to recover from that time. But it was hard to study again after three years gap. In June 2015, I discovered a step towards hope and planned to sit an exam in three months time. I chose self-study for paper F4 (Corporate and Business Law) as it was the easy subject of part two. Beside this, I started taking tuition for paper F5 (Performance Management) and F6 (Taxation UK) for December 2015 session. In October, I attended and passed the paper F4, and it was a critical point to growing my confidence. With full of confidence, I again started my journey for December session. A few days later, I did an accident, and it was my bad luck that my leg was fractured. But I didn't stop to attend the classes and also didn't stop dreaming of becoming an ACCA. However, I couldn't take preparation for the exam because of pain, but I attended the exam in December session. In January 2016, when result published, I passed paper F5, but unfortunately, I failed in paper F6. My faculty for paper F6, Mr. Abdullah Al Mahmud Kayes was surprised more than me, because, my performance in class was good enough to pass.
In late January 2016, I planned to complete part two of ACCA in 2016. My plan was in details, what paper and when I'll admit for tuition, and when I'll sit for these exams. I remembered plenty of people called me overly hopeful. From my eyes, I only know summits of hope, because I have been in great depths regarding despair. As a part of my plan, I started the class for paper F7 (Financial Reporting) and F8 (Audit and Assurance). In March 2016 session, after a month of preparation, I sat for the paper F6 exam, and I did high score in Bangladesh. Then my faith grows stronger that anyone can do anything, as I turned my fall into highs. After that result, I passed all paper attended in 2016, and did well, but missed high score for few marks. Still January 2017, I've completed ACCA part two successfully and started part three.
From January 2017, I'm facing health difficulties and changed my diet chart. And there is another lesson that even on the road to success, there are many failures you have to deal. Best of luck to all of you, and may you be blessed with health, prosperity, and success in your life.
